Meditation didn't just change my practice — it changed everything. The way I see data, the way I lead teams, the way I make decisions.
It began during a period of burnout. Years of intense consulting work had sharpened my analytical skills but dulled my sense of presence. I was solving complex problems but couldn't sit still for five minutes.
A colleague invited me to a meditation retreat. I went skeptically. What happened over those ten days fundamentally altered my understanding of the mind — and by extension, my entire approach to work and life.
I discovered that the same qualities that make a great analyst — deep attention, pattern recognition, comfort with ambiguity — are the same qualities that meditation cultivates. The difference is that meditation trains these skills at the source: the quality of awareness itself.
Since then, I've completed multiple teacher certifications, facilitated hundreds of sessions, led retreats, and volunteered thousands of hours. What started as personal healing became a calling to help others find the same clarity.
